Anahuac is the county seat of Chambers County and almost equidistant from Houston, Beaumont, and Galveston. The 2200+ residents enjoy the advantages of a large urban area without the disadvantages of big city living. Proximity to the Gulf Coast provides many recreational activities like fishing, swimming, birding, boating, and water sports.
